Anti Ragging Cell - Profile

The college is deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where every student can thrive without fear or intimidation. The Anti-Ragging Cell of the college is a statutory body formed in accordance with the UGC regulations to prevent, prohibit, and redress any instances of ragging in the college premises.

Vision:

To build a campus culture rooted in mutual respect, dignity, and trust, where every student—especially freshers—feels safe, welcomed, and valued.

Objectives:

· To ensure a ragging-free campus through active monitoring and awareness.

· To sensitize students on the consequences of ragging—both legal and psychological.

· To provide a safe and confidential platform for students to report incidents.

· To take immediate preventive and punitive action in case of any reported cases.

Key Functions:

· Display of anti-ragging notices at prominent places across the campus.

· Conducting orientation programs for freshers and parents.

· Organizing anti-ragging awareness seminars and pledge-taking events.

· Installation of suggestion/complaint boxes for anonymous reporting.

· Regular vigilance in hostels, corridors, and canteens through faculty and student patrol teams.
