About Examination Cell

The Examination Branch of  Sreenivasa Degree College, Jammalamadugu plays a major role in the smooth and efficient conduct of Contionous Internal Assesement and Semester End Examintions .The Branch is headed by the Cheif Superident of CoE, Y. CHANDRA sEKHAR functions as a bridge between the college administration, faculty, and students. The cell is responsible for ensuring the fair and transparent conduct of semester-wise examinations and complying with the guidelines of the affiliating Y.V. University.

Internal Examinations (Semester-wise)

1. Role of the Examination Cell:

  • Prepares and circulates the examination schedules to students and faculty.

  • Coordinates with subject teachers to prepare question papers as per the university's prescribed syllabus.

  • Ensures timely conduction of mid-term or internal assessments.

  • Collects and compiles internal marks, which are then uploaded to the university's examination portal.

  • Ensures the confidentiality of question papers and oversees the security of the examination process.

2. Internal Examination Schedule:

  • Internal exams are conducted twice a semester, commonly known as Mid-Term 1 and Mid-Term 2.

  • These exams are planned around the academic calendar to ensure adequate time for teaching and preparation.

  • The schedule is prepared in consultation with the faculty to avoid clashes in subjects and to maintain smooth conduct.

3. Conduct of Internal Examinations:

  • The Examination Cell ensures that internal exams are conducted as per the schedule, with invigilators assigned from the teaching staff.

  • The examination rooms are allocated based on the number of students and seating arrangements to maintain fairness.

  • The answer scripts are evaluated by the respective subject teachers and submitted back to the Examination Cell for record-keeping and further processing.

4. Submission of Internal Marks:

  • After evaluation, the subject-wise internal marks are submitted to the Examination Cell.

  • The cell is responsible for compiling the marks and uploading them to the university portal within the specified timeline.

External Examinations (Semester-wise)

1. Preparation for External Examinations:

  • External exams are conducted at the end of each semester as per the schedule provided by the affiliating Y.V. University.

  • The Examination Cell is responsible for coordinating with the university for the receipt of question papers, appointment of external invigilators, and allocation of rooms for examinations.

2. Receipt and Distribution of Hall Tickets:

  • The Examination Cell coordinates with the university to distribute hall tickets to eligible students after verifying their attendance and internal marks.

  • The hall tickets are distributed in a timely manner to ensure students are aware of their examination schedules and venue details.

3. Conduct of External Examinations:

  • The college serves as an examination center, and the Examination Cell plays a pivotal role in the smooth conduct of exams.

  • External invigilators are appointed by the university, and the Examination Cell ensures compliance with all examination rules and regulations.

  • The examination rooms are organized and invigilators are briefed on the instructions provided by the university.

4. Collection and Submission of Answer Scripts:

  • After the completion of the exams, the answer scripts are collected and sealed by the Examination Cell.

  • The sealed packets are dispatched to the university for centralized evaluation.

5. Result Processing:

  • Once the results are declared by the university, the Examination Cell ensures that the students' marksheets are received and distributed without delay.
